Former head of Security Service in Kharkiv Oblast detained

Roman Dudin, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast, who held the position until May 2022, has been detained on suspicion of treason, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) confirmed, Report informs, citing Ukrinfrom.

"I can confirm this information. All the details will be announced tomorrow," SBI Spokesperson Olha Chykanova told Ukrinform.

Following the meeting on the situation in the Kharkiv region on May 29, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky fired the head of the regional department of the Security Service of Ukraine, Roman Dudin, "for not working to protect the city from the first days of the full-scale war, thinking only about himself."

On May 30, the decree on the dismissal of Roman Dudin from the post of head of the Kharkiv Region Department of the Security Service of Ukraine was published on the President's website.
