Forestfires break out in two districts of Türkiye’s Izmir

A forest is on fire in Urla and Cesme districts of Türkiye’s Izmir province, Report informs, citing the local press.

One plane, eight helicopters, 25 sprinklers, five water supply equipment, three dozers and one brigade were involved in extinguishing the fire in Urla. Firefighters are working intensively as the fire broke out near residential areas.

Eleven houses in the Urla district were evacuated, and those who stayed in tents were removed from the area.

Three planes and five sprinklers were involved in extinguishing the fire in the Cesme district.
