Flu incidence drops in Georgia

Tbilisi. 14 January. REPORT.AZ/ Flu activity has declined but remains high in Georgia, Georgia Department of Public Health said.

Report's Georgian bureau informs that compared to peak days of influenza virus currently, figures reduced by 600 cases in regions and 500 cases in Tbilisi. The number of appeals to first aid related to flu also decreased in regions and Tbilisi. Treatment of 42 patients infected with influenza continues in intensive care departments of hospitals.

Notably, in recent months, 15 people died of A (H1N1) virus called swine flu in Georgia.
