Fight between MPs in Georgian parliament

Deputies from the parliamentary majority and the opposition started a fight in the Georgian parliament. The people’s representatives blamed each other because of the National Bank’s decision not to join the sanctions against the former chief prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze, Report informs referring to Sputnik-Georgia.

A fight occurred between opposition MP, leader of the Agmashenebeli Strategy party Giorgi Vashadze and representative of the ruling Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party Irakli Zarkua.

Deputies from the parliamentary majority accused members of the opposition of being US agents. They, in turn, called the Georgian Dream MPs Russian agents.

The scuffle occurred after Vashadze was removed from the conference room, where the opposition tried to interrupt the speech of Georgian Minister of Culture and Sports Tea Tsulukiani. Vashadze wanted to return to the hall, but security prevented him, after which part of the opposition tried to prevent an interview with the head of the ruling party, Irakli Kobakhidze.
