EU's financial aid to Ukraine becomes largest in union's history

Economic support for Ukraine from the EU has become the largest in the history of the union, provided to a third country, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at the international economic forum in Davos.

According to her, macro-financial support amounted to about ten billion euros.

It's the largest support package for a third country in the history of the EU, she said.

Earlier the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that since February 24, the EU has already allocated 1.5 billion euros for arms supplies to Ukraine.
