State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich, Chief of the General Staff Viktor Gulevich, as well as Deputy Ministers of Defense of the Republic Andrei Zhuk, Sergei Simonenko, and Andrei Burdyko, are included in the list of EU restrictive measures, Report informs, citing Interfax that the Official Journal of the European Union said.
The document explains that these individuals, according to the EU, support actions that undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine, as well as stability and security in this country.
Restrictions on these persons will be similar to those that apply to officials and representatives of the security bloc included in the EU sanctions list after August 9, 2020.
Earlier, it became known that the European Union extended the sanctions against Belarus until February 28, 2023.
