EU envoy doubts suspension of visa-free travel with Georgia

It is unlikely that the visa-free regime will be suspended between the EU and Georgia, said Paweł Herczyński, the ambassador of the EU to Georgia, Report informs.

"I have consistently stated and made appropriate calls to the European Union that the Georgian people should not be punished and should not pay for what they did not do. On the contrary, they have voiced and continue to voice their dissent. Our support to civil society and non-governmental organizations will not decrease", Herczyński added.

According to him, the foreign ministers of the EU countries will discuss what measures will be taken against Georgia in connection with the adoption of the law on foreign agents in Luxembourg on June 24.
