Estonian ambassador leaves diplomatic mission in Russia

Estonian ambassador to Moscow Margus Laidre has left the building of the diplomatic mission early morning.

Report informs via Russian media that in mid-January the diplomat was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where he was strongly protested in connection with the actions of the Estonian authorities.

The Russian Foreign Ministry explained that all responsibility for such a development of bilateral relations lies entirely with Estonia and added that the Russian Federation will continue to respond to the hostile steps of the Estonian leadership.

In response, the Estonian Foreign Ministry called the Russian Ambassador to Tallinn, Vladimir Lipaev, ordering him to leave the territory of Estonia.
