Erdogan to European countries: Kyiv has been left alone in its righteous cause

The first high-level contact between Russia and Ukraine at the level of foreign ministers amid crisis shows that Antalya Diplomacy Forum began to achieve its purpose. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told the opening of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Report informs, citing Anadolu.

"If the West had spoken out against the invasion of Crimea in 2014, current Russian-Ukraine crisis would have been prevented," he noted

"Kyiv has been left alone in its righteous cause," Erdogan noted, adding that while supporting the legitimate struggle of Ukrainians, steps that may cast a shadow over it are never acceptable.

The Turkish president voiced hope for calm, common sense to prevail in the Russia-Ukraine war as soon as possible.

He added that fascist practices against Russian nationals, culture in Western countries could never be acceptable.
