President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan has thanked Sinan Ogan, candidate for presidential post in the first round of elections from the ATA Alliance.
According to Report, in an interview with the TRT TV channel, the Turkish leader said he held a meeting with Ogan.
"He said he will support us and the Republican Alliance. I thank him on my own behalf and on behalf of all of my fellows. Sinan Ogan is well aware of our clear position in fighting terrorism, particularly, the relations with the Turkic world. We make no compromises in these issues," Erdogan said.
The Turkish leader added that the Turkish nation will benefit from the unity of two political unions.
"Until now, 450,000 refugees have returned to their homes. But now we plan that another million refugees will return to Syria. Of course, this will happen over time," the Turkish leader concluded.
Later, the former presidential candidate from the Ata political bloc, Sinan Ogan, also spoke out in support of the incumbent head of state.
