Erdoğan, King of Jordan hold phone conversation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and King Abdullah II of Jordan had a telephone conversation, Report informs, citing Anadolu.

According to the Turkish Presidential Administration, Erdoğan and Abdullah II discussed the current state of relations between the two countries and regional issues.

On Saturday, the military told King Abdullah II's half-brother, former Prince Hamzah, to halt actions targeting Jordan's security and stability, and said he had been placed under house arrest. On Sunday, the government announced that Prince Hamzah, who had been in contact with foreign groups seeking to drag the country into anarchy, had been under investigation for some time.

Bassem Awadallah, the king's secret adviser, then the country's finance minister and an adviser to Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a member of the royal family, Sharif Hassan bin Zayed, and a total of 16 others were arrested. Among those detained were high-ranking military officials, heads of Bedouin tribes, and members of an unnamed intelligence agency.
