Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has commented on the upcoming visit of his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog to Turkey, the president told journalists on his way back to Turkey from the UAE.
"We had telephone conversations with the Israeli president, Mr. Herzog, on various issues. He is expected to visit our country in March. Of course, we welcome this visit. Hopefully, taking such a step after a long time will have a positive impact on Turkish-Israeli relations," the president said.
