Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have held a telephone conversation, the Armenian government's press service said in a statement, Report informs via Sputnik Armenia.
Pashinyan congratulated the Turkish leader on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, and Erdogan congratulated the Armenian PM on the upcoming Vardavar holiday.
"The leaders emphasized the importance of the process of regulating relations between the two countries. It was noted that this will contribute to the strengthening of peace and stability in the region," the information emphasized.
The parties said that they hope the agreements reached by the special representatives of Armenia and Turkiye on July 1 will be implemented in the near future.
This is the first telephone conversation between Erdogan and Pashinyan.
