Türkiye's Permanent Representative to the UN Ahmet Yildiz has called for the inclusion of PKK and its extensions YPG/SDG in the list of terrorist organizations operating in Syria at the next meeting of the UN Security Council.
According to Turkish media reports, the envoy made this statement during his speech at the Security Council meeting.
He stated that the PKK has repeatedly caused civilian deaths.
Yildiz also mentioned that the PKK was involved in the terrorist attack that occurred near the building of TUSAŞ corporation, a manufacturer of military aircraft and space vehicles, in Ankara on October 23: "TUSAŞ supports the fight against terrorism not only in Türkiye but in many countries around the world."
According to the diplomat, the PKK terrorist organization is also a threat to Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty: "Terrorist organizations use chaos to strengthen extremism."
Yıldız also spoke about the deepening crisis in Syria and stated that this is a threat to regional security.
