An electric transmission line will be built to connect Eastern Zangazur with Nakhchivan through Iran,
Report informs that this was announced today during an expanded meeting between Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, co-chair of the State Commission on economic, trade and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, Shahin Mustafayev, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, co-chair of the Commission from the Iranian side, Farzaneh Sadeq.
It was expressed with confidence that the construction of the electric transmission line that will connect Azerbaijan's Eastern Zangazur economic region with its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic through Iranian territory will not only serve to ensure energy security but will also make significant contributions to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
