The date corresponding to the Iranian former president Ebrahim Raisi's death in a helicopter crash has been registered as a national day in Iran’s calendar, Report informs via Mehr News Agency.
The date, which witnessed the deaths of Raisi and his companions, including former foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, was registered on Monday as the “Day of the Martyrs of Service.”
The development took place as per a decree issued by President Masoud Pezeshkian and the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution.
Ebrahim Raisi, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and the government officials with them died in a helicopter crash on May 19, 2024.
