Delivery of COVID-19 vaccine to Georgia postponed

"Handing off the coronavirus drug to Georgia is delayed," said acting Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze.

According to her, there are some difficulties with Pfizer vaccine supply: "We are actively working to speed up this process."

In turn, the director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, noted that the delivery of the drug was postponed for about 1-2 weeks:

"Transportation will take place in the first or second week of March."

The COVID-19 vaccine was expected to be delivered to the neighboring country in late February.
