The death toll from a coal mine explosion in northern Turkiye rose to 40 people, Turkish Minister of Internal Affairs Suleyman Soylu told journalists, Report informs.
He noted that the treatment of the wounded and search and rescue operations are ongoing.

An explosion occurred in a coal mine in Amasra district of the Turkish province of Bartin, Report informs via Haber Global.
A large number of firefighters and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
According to the information, nearly 150 mine workers are trapped under the rubble.
