Death toll in Turkish wildfire rises to 8

The wildfire in the southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakır has claimed eight lives.

The inferno, which ignited in the regions between Cinar district in Diyarbakır and Mazidagi district in Mardin province, has left an additional 24 people injured, all of whom have been rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.

The wildfire has been put out.
