Death toll due to Russian attack on Ukraine's Poltava rises to 53

The death toll from the Russian strike on an educational center in Ukraine’s Poltava has risen to 53, with rescuers still searching for potential survivors beneath the rubble, the Ukrainian State Emergency Service said, Report informs via RBC-Ukraine.

As of the morning of September 4, 53 people were confirmed dead in Poltava.

Additionally, 271 people were injured in the Russian attack. Rescuers have saved 25 people, including 11 who were pulled out from under the debris.

Emergency services warn that five more individuals may still be trapped beneath the rubble of the six-story educational building.

Earlier, the State Emergency Service reported that, apart from the educational center, three apartment buildings, five private houses, and an office building in Poltava were also damaged.
