Coronavirus: Kyrgyzstan’s tally hits 840

Kyrgyz Republic has confirmed 13 new COVID-19 cases over the past day, and one died from the infection, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

According to the Operational Headquarters of the Republic, thus the total tally reached 843 in the country.

So far, 11 people have died of COVID-19 in the Kyrgyz Republic, while 600 patients recovered from the virus and discharged from hospitals.

Notably, the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 212 countries and territories since then.

To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 3 657 000 globally, resulting in more than 1 202 735 recoveries and over 252 548 deaths.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
