Coronavirus cases surpass 60 thousand people in Iran

Iran has become the Middle East’s flaming epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic. Besides Italy, and the United States Iran also reported soaring new death tolls as the coronavirus pandemic marched relentlessly across the globe. The country prompted a scramble in hard-hit regions to set up more hospital beds and replenish the dwindling medical supplies needed to keep health workers safe.

Another 136 people became victims of the coronavirus in Iran.

Report says, citing the IRNA, Kianoosh Jahanpoor said the coronavirus death toll in Iran now stands at 3,739 after 136 patients lost their lives during the past 24 hours.

According to him, there are 2,274 new cases across the country.

Thus, the number of people tested positive for COVID-19 across the country has reached 60,500. Jahanpoor noted that 24,236 people were recovered from the disease and were discharged. The condition of 4,083 patients remains severe.
