A draft of the concept for military cooperation until 2030 will be prepared at the upcoming meeting of defense ministers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Minsk, the Secretary General of the CIS Sergey Lebedev said before the meeting, Report informs.
The secretary general noted that undoubtedly, the most significant issue in the joint work of the CIS Defense Ministers will be the preparation of a draft of the concept for military cooperation until 2030.
He added that the draft concept should reflect clear priorities and new guidelines for interaction between the member countries in the medium-term perspective.
On July 2, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Zakir Hasanov, visited Belarus to participate in a military parade and attend the Council of Defense Ministers meeting.
