Chinese VP arrives in Astana to attend CICA summit

Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan will take part in the summit of the countries of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which will be held on October 13 in Astana, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said, Report informs referring to the Kazakh media.

Earlier, Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov reported that 11 presidents of the CICA countries would participate in the VI summit of the organization, which is scheduled for October 13 in Astana. He said that Azerbaijan, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan will be represented at the level of heads of state, with a total of about 50 delegations expected.
