China introduces visa-free regime for Georgian citizens

China has decided to introduce a visa-free regime for Georgian citizens, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at a government meeting, according to Report.

"The People’s Republic of China has decided to introduce a visa-free regime for Georgian citizens. Georgian citizens will be able to stay in China without a visa for 30 consecutive days," he said.

According to the prime minister, a visa-free regime will create new opportunities in terms of political, economic and cultural development.

At the end of July 2023, Georgia and China announced a transition to a new level of bilateral relations - a strategic partnership. And from September 12, Georgia introduced a visa-free regime for Chinese citizens. They can enter Georgia for the purpose of tourism and stay in the country for up to 30 days.
