Cavusoglu: Turkiye urges Taliban to reconsider ban on girls’ education in universities

Ankara is calling on the Taliban to reconsider the ban on the education of girls in universities, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a joint press conference with his Yemeni counterpart Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak on December 22 in Ankara, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

Cavusoglu noted that the ban on the education of girls in universities has nothing to do with the norms of Islam, and is contrary to the principles of humanism.

“We reject such a ban,” the minister stressed.
