Çavuşoğlu: Turkish companies ready to cooperate in developing fields in Caspian Sea

"Turkish companies are ready to participate in the development of oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea. We have conveyed our intention to the partners in this regard," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said.

Report informs, citing TRT Haber, that the minister was commenting on the agreement signed between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on the joint exploration and development of hydrocarbon resources in the Dostlug field in the Caspian Sea.

"One of the critical issues here is delivering oil and gas to Turkey via existing pipelines. There is an opportunity for cooperation in every sense," he stressed.

On March 5, Çavuşoğlu began his trip to Central Asia, and he visited Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Speaking about the results, the Foreign Minister said that the meetings were held in a cordial atmosphere:

"Our visits to both Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were beneficial."
