Cavusoglu: Significance of Middle Corridor, positions of Azerbaijan and Turkiye are growing

It recently seems difficult and impossible to deliver products from Asia to European markets through Russia, in particular, because of the war with Ukraine. Therefore, the importance of the Middle Corridor is growing, and the positions of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkiye are strengthening, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

According to him, Ankara wants Georgia to participate more actively in such projects.

"We must work together in the field of logistics and energy. This is extremely important for the economic development and stability of our region; it is important from the point of view of international markets and the transformation of our region into an energy base," the Turkish Foreign Minister said.

Noting that a few days ago, a meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs and transport of Turkiye, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan took place, Cavusoglu added that Turkiye-Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan is scheduled for August 2 at the ministerial level.
