Cavusoglu: Armenia must respond to Azerbaijan’s goodwill

Armenia must respond to Azerbaijan’s goodwill, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in response to a question from the US bureau of Report.

He noted that after the victory, Azerbaijan showed the world that it wants peace and tranquility in the region and offered Armenia a comprehensive peace agreement.

Then the issue of creating a joint commission to determine the borders was discussed, at the meetings in Brussels an agreement was reached on these issues, and a joint border commission was created.

Azerbaijan also supports the talks between Turkiye and Armenia, and this is a positive development.

“We always say and call on Armenia to respond to these goodwill approaches. At our yesterday’s meeting, we reaffirmed that Turkiye and Azerbaijan want peace and expressed good intentions for regional stability,” he stressed.
