Bochorishvili: Peace in South Caucasus key for Middle Corridor development

Security and peace in the South Caucasus are crucial not only for the region's countries but also for the development of the Middle Corridor, said Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, according to Report's Georgia bureau.

While speaking on the Imedi Weekly program, Bochorishvili emphasized that stability in the South Caucasus is vital for regional security and the advancement of transport connectivity.

The minister noted that Georgia's policies are rooted in national interests and the country's security, which serve as the foundation for both domestic and foreign policy directions.

"Of course, security and peace in the South Caucasus are important not only for our countries and regional safety but also in the context of connectivity and the development of the Middle Corridor. However, first and foremost, based on our national interests, the security of our country is the starting point for all policy directions," she added.
