Bishkek cancels state of emergency

Deputies of the Kyrgyz Parliament have canceled the decision President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, who resigned on October 15, to impose a state of emergency in the capital of the Republic, Report says, citing TASS.

Parliamentarians voted for the abolition of the state of emergency in Bishkek unanimously.

For the first time, Jeenbekov introduced a state of emergency in the city on October 9 following the clashes between supporters of various opposition forces. However, within three days, as required by law, the Parliament could not meet and approve the resolution. In this regard, on October 12, Jeenbekov again declared a state of emergency. On Thursday, the head of the Kyrgyz government resigned.
