Baku to host meeting of Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental commission

A meeting of the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental commission will be held in Baku on April 26, Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS Countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry Denis Gonchar told RIA Novosti, Report informs.

"Preparations are underway for the 20th-anniversary meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation," he noted.

According to the diplomat, the parties are considering complex issues of economic cooperation: "We have many interesting and promising new projects."

Gonchar recalled the next event of Russian businessmen organized by the Russian Ministry of Energy on April 20-21 in Azerbaijan on the thermal power complex:

"It is the third event. The first two events were held in July and November 2021. We attach great importance to the involvement of local economic operators in the restoration of Karabakh. We believe that this is an essential tool in stimulating bilateral economic and trade cooperation."
