Azimut flight aborted seconds before takeoff from Batumi to Moscow

An Azimut Airlines flight, scheduled to fly from Batumi, Georgia to Moscow, Russia, came to an abrupt halt just before takeoff.

Report informs, citing social media, that the incident, captured on video by passengers onboard, has left many seeking answers about the cause of the unexpected stop.

According to reports, the pilots applied the brakes during the final stages of preparation for takeoff.

"Flight A4 7054 from Batumi to Moscow stopped right before takeoff. Almost immediately after, passengers were asked to exit the Sukhoi Superjet 100 and retrieve their luggage," a passenger shared on social media.

Following the evacuation, passengers were directed to the terminal building to await further information. "The reason was not communicated. Currently, all passengers are in the terminal, waiting for more details," the passenger added.

According to the online flight board, the flight, which was supposed to depart approximately 40 minutes ago, has been delayed until 16:55. However, passengers remain uncertain about how they will proceed to Moscow.

Another passenger reported that an airline employee mentioned a technical error that occurred during the aircraft's acceleration.

"They are currently testing the system. The expected testing time is 1 hour," the passenger stated.
