Russia to provide Azerbaijani migrants with single 10-year document

All migrants in Russia, including Azerbaijanis, will be provided with an electronic document by the Interior Ministry to stay in the country for a long time, Report says, citing TASS.

"A mandatory condition for a foreign citizen to obtain the right to a long stay in the Russian Federation will be the receipt of a single document with an electronic data carrier. A single document will be issued to a foreign citizen for ten years, and after its expiration, it will be subject to replacement," the statement said.

The document will contain information about its owner. The list of information, as well as the registration and issuance of a single document, will be clarified during the preparation of the federal bill and relevant regulations.

The Interior Ministry said in April that there were 300,000 Uzbeks and more than 200,000 Tajiks in the country and hundreds of thousands of migrants from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.
