Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Brazil to jointly investigate plane crash

The investigation into the causes of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) aircraft crash near the city of Aktau is being conducted by a national commission, which will include representatives from Azerbaijan and Brazil, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport said, Report informs.

"Representatives of the State Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), have arrived in Kazakhstan. Work at the site is being carried out in close cooperation with Azerbaijan's aviation authorities. Representatives from the aircraft manufacturer Embraer and CENIPA (Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center of Brazil) have also flown to Kazakhstan," reads the statement.

Currently, commission members are at the emergency site conducting field investigations. The commission from Kazakhstan includes representatives from the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Committee, and the Republican State Enterprise Kazaeronavigatsia. The commission is headed by Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev.
