Azerbaijan, Georgia to strengthen scientific cooperation

The existing relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the field of science will be further strengthened, Report informs, citing a conference on Azerbaijani-Georgian relations at the Georgian National Academy of Sciences (GNAS).

According to the vice-president of GNAS, academician Roin Metreveli, there has always been close cooperation between the scientific circles of Georgia and Azerbaijan:

"I hope that after the pandemic, interrelation will intensify again. The Academy is ready to organize joint scientific conferences regularly."

In turn, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev said that such conferences should be held systematically to strengthen scientific cooperation between the two countries: "I believe that today's meeting will bring positive dynamics to collaboration and will continue in a business format."

GNAS member Ramaz Khurodze said that he had recently received an invitation from Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, to visit Baku: "Hamlet Isakhanli is our close friend, and I hope that the meetings to be held in Baku will contribute to growing ties between scientific circles."
