ATOR: Over 50,000 tourists may remain in Crimea

More than 50,000 tourists may be currently on vacation in Ukraine’s occupied Crimea, Report informs referring to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

“According to preliminary estimates of the ATOR analytical service, more than 50,000 tourists may now be in Crimea, tour operators and authorities are counting them,” reads the statement.

ATOR clarified that more accurate data on the number of vacationers in hotels and sanatoriums of Crimea who cannot leave the peninsula due to the state of emergency, including clients of tour operators, will be published later.

Earlier on October 8, it was reported that seven fuel tanks caught fire on one of the sections of the Crimean bridge. There was a partial collapse of two automobile spans of the bridge.
