Astana strengthens security measures over arrival of heads of several states

Military equipment was brought to the airport Astana (Kazakhstan) in order to ensure the safety of the heads of foreign states arriving in the country to participate in a number of events, Report informs citing Kazakh media.

This week will be busy in the capital: Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is arriving on October 11, the leader of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan – on October 12, the heads of the CIS countries, including Vladimir Putin – on October 13, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov – on October 14.

On October 13, the capital of Kazakhstan will host the VI Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), on October 14 - a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State and the Central Asia-Russia summit.
