Artillery shelling of military unit by Russian military claims over 70 lives in Ukraine's Okhtyrka

Over 70 people died in Okhtyrka, Ukraine, due to the shelling of a military unit. Rescuers continue their work, Head of Sumy Regional State Administration Dmytro Zhivitsky said.

Report informs, citing Ukrainian media, that Zhivitsky said yesterday Russian troops shelled the military unit with artillery, adding that rescuers and volunteers continue to extract bodies from under the rubble.

There are numerous casualties; around 70 Ukrainian fighters died, Zhivitsky said.

He later specified on Facebook that there are civilian deaths too.

Zhivitsky also reported deaths among Russian invaders.

"There are very many bodies of Russians around the city; we gather them. The Red Cross employees take them home," he said.
