Armenian parliament fails to vote to elect Pashinyan as new PM

Members of the Armenian parliament didn’t vote for the candidacy of acting head of the Cabinet of Ministers Nikol Pashinyan for the post of prime minister at a special session in order to hold early parliamentary elections in the country, Report informs referring to TASS.

The special session of the Armenian legislative body was broadcast in real time by local TV channels.

“One deputy voted for the election of Pashinyan, 3 voted against, 75 abstained, Pashinyan was not elected prime minister,” said Speaker of the Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan.
