Armenian interior ministry urges protesters to avoid clashes

The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs has called on the organizers and participants of the rally near the parliament building in Yerevan to refrain from unlawful actions that lead to clashes.

Report informs via Armenian media that some protesters threw bottles at the police at the intersection of Baghramyan Avenue and Demirchyan Street during today's rally. When attempting to break through the cordon, they also seized the police's batons and shields.

Law enforcement officials have warned that any illegal actions will result in adequate criminal prosecution.

Earlier, it was reported that a clash occurred between the police and protesters near the parliament building in Yerevan where the country's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was delivering a speech.
