Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has informed German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock during their meeting in Yerevan about the work on finalizing the peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku, Report informs referring to the Armenian foreign ministry.
"In the context of ensuring stability in the South Caucasus, the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was discussed. Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in this process, including work being done to finalize the draft Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty, emphasizing the importance of signing the agreement," reads the statement.
Earlier, during his speech in parliament, Mirzoyan announced intensive negotiations with Azerbaijan regarding the peace agreement.
"Armenia and Azerbaijan have begun working on the peace agreement more constructively. Work on Articles 1-2 continues more intensively than before. I would say, more in the spirit of cooperation, in a more constructive atmosphere," the Armenian foreign minister said.
