Armenia, USA, and France emerge as top importers of India's defense production

The United States, and France have emerged as the top importers of Indian defense products.

Report informs via The Times of India that Indian state-owned and private companies have exported a wide range of weapons, ammunition, and components to nearly 100 countries, amounting to an impressive $2.6 billion in sales.

The United States primarily imports subsystems and components from India, including parts for Boeing and Lockheed Martin aircraft and helicopters, such as fuselages and wings. These purchases are made as part of their global supply chains and offset obligations. France, on the other hand, focuses on importing software and electronic equipment from India.

Armenia has been a significant buyer of Indian defense products over the past four years, signing several deals for missiles, artillery guns, rocket systems, radars, bulletproof vests, night vision devices, and a wide range of ammunition and artillery shells.Notably, Armenia became the first foreign buyer of India's indigenously developed Akash air defense missiles.
