Armenia sets to hand over village of Jiliza back to Georgia

Armenia is preparing to return the village of Jiliza to Georgia, Report informs via Zhoghovurd newspaper.

According to the information, Armenia is ready to demarcate the borders not only with Azerbaijan, but also with Georgia: "This includes especially the village of Jiliza on the border of Georgia located in the Alaverdi region."

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed this issue in his meeting with his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze.

Armenia and Georgia have been discussing the issue of delimitation and demarcation of the state border since 1992. Since 1996, border delimitation and demarcation commissions have been operating between the two countries but they work in a very passive mode.
