Armenia’s Pashinyan: 'I’ve asked several senior officials to leave their positions'

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed that he sacked a number of high-ranking officials, Report informs via Armenian media.

"I consider it necessary to inform that I have asked several senior officials to leave their positions.

The reasons for making such a request are not personal, but systemic, which I have spoken about publicly.

At the same time, I cannot deny the merits of our noted colleagues in the development of our statehood, and I thank [them] all for their contribution and understanding of my request," Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.

According to previous press reports, resignations have been submitted by Rustam Badasyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee; Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; Vahe Ghazaryan, Minister of Internal Affairs; and Argishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
