Armenia's FM says Pashinyan did not announce CSTO withdrawal

During a parliamentary session on June 12, Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan clarified that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not announce the country's withdrawal from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). Instead, Pashinyan stated that Armenian authorities would decide when to leave the organization, Mirzoyan said.

Report informs via TASS that Mirzoyan emphasized, "The session is being recorded, so one can verify who said what. The Prime Minister of Armenia did not say that we are leaving the CSTO. The Prime Minister of Armenia said that we will decide when to leave, but we will not return."

The clarification follows Pashinyan's earlier response to an opposition deputy's remark during the same session, where he said, "We will leave. We will decide when."
