Armenia: COVID-19 death toll passes 580

As of July 14 in the morning, 32,490 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Armenia. The number of infected in one day has grown by 339,Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the country, 20,729 people have recovered, 10,966  are getting treatment.

The total death toll reached 581, as eight other died of the virus. 

Armenia reported its first coronavirus infection on March 1, in a citizen returning from neighboring Iran, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on Facebook.
The 29-year-old, who arrived in the former Soviet nation on Friday, went to a doctor because he was not feeling well.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to over 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
