Andrey Nastasyin: Finding common ground is key to peace between Baku and Yerevan

Moscow has called upon Baku and Yerevan to focus on finding mutually acceptable solutions to achieve peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus region as soon as possible, Andrey Nastasyin, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, told journalists at a briefing, according to Report.

Nastasyin emphasized that Russia advocates for resolving disputed issues between Azerbaijan and Armenia through political and diplomatic means. He drew attention to the main developments currently unfolding around Armenia and in the region, specifically the active efforts by the West, primarily the United States and the European Union, to disrupt the established ties in the South Caucasus.

"The Westerners want to destabilize the region, turning it into another hotspot of tension or even a second front near the Russian borders," Nastasyin stated.
