42 people wanted by Interpol detained in Türkiye

Turkish police detained 42 people put on the international wanted list by several countries through Interpol, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on the social network X/

According to him, arrest operations were carried out in Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Erzurum, Eskisehir, Kirklareli, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin, Nigde, Sakarya and Usha.

In total, the Turkish police detained 42 people who were put on the Interpol wanted list by Azerbaijan, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iran, Sweden, Finland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The detainees are accused of crimes such as illegal trafficking in weapons and drugs, premeditated murder, and robbery.
