Two deaths were reported after a 5.0 magnitude earthquake hit Kashmar in northeastern Iran's Razavi Khorasan province around noon on June 18, Report informs referring to Iran International.
The governor of Kashmar said that in Tuesday's earthquake in the city, two men died due to the collapse of a building facade.
According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake originated approximately five kilometers from Moghan, Razavi Khorasan Province, while local Iranian media reported the magnitude as 5.0, occurring at a depth of six kilometers.
As of now, there are no immediate reports of damage or casualties. In response to the seismic event, the IRNA state news agency confirmed that two Red Crescent assessment teams have been dispatched to the affected areas of Kashmar County to evaluate potential damages.
